I know it locks if you unlock the doors and don't open them for a certain amount of time. I don't think it locks automatically if you get out of your car and don't lock it.

No it only locks on its own when you use the keyless button on your key to unlock it before entering. Then when u leave and forget to lock your car it will lock on its own. BUt if u use the intelligent key then it wont lock on its own. Kinda whack i know i wish it had that feature.

really! thats another new one. I wish there were more programmability though. My Jetta locks all doors above 5mph and unlocks all door when I pull the key out.

On a separate note, I found another g35 "shortcut". apparently u can just say the name + "mobile" without issuing the "call" command 1st. But you can't skip the confirmation "yes" part though.

Well, I'm speaking from a previous generation G - I have 2004.5 coupe and when I turn the car on and both doors are closed, the doors lock themselves and when I remove the key from the ignition, the doors unlock. If an '04 has that option, I'm sure the '07s do as well.

My 05 and my 07 never did that, thankfully .

My 03G did not do that and neither does my 07. I wonder if this is a US thing.

I agree Wayne. That feature would drive me crazy. My father's Taurus does that and I can't stand it.

I'm used to having the doors locked automatically, I hated it at first but I got used to it and now miss it. I know that KP Technologies makes an auto lock/unlock module and a speed lock switch for the first gen G, but I'm not sure I want to be opening up my doors to try it out.
