WOW! i REALLY don't like anything about the 06!

looks: meh
interior: 4 out of 10
no one touch windows on rear, no screen, no turning lights, no aux inputs, the handling doesn't compare at all...

my 07 is the best car i've ever had. but i would never have bought an 06
I like the 07, but I love my 05, for some reason I think the 05 Sedan is better looking, especially after a few careful, selective mods.

If it wasn't for the first gen G35's, there never would have been a 2nd gen. God bless forward progress!

My cousin has an 06. The thing is fugly on the inside. I was pretty much all set to buy an Acura TL until I checked out the 07s.

I agree. The 07 is huge improvement stylistically. And the rear redesign makes a spoiler unnecessary for the 07.

I have both and love them both... Sometime I even prefer driving the 1st Gen.

+1, I had an '04 now my '05, and when the '05 came out, I liked the upgrades from the '04, and the brake improvement. I like the '07, drove a new loaner for a day, and enjoyed it, the interior is nice, but was I disappointed when I got my '05 back? Not in the least. I also agree the original was a ground breaking car, and the '07 is a continuation of that. My '05 has one touch on all the windows, it's part of the premium package!

I like both generations. I think 07 is a pretty good improvement over the first gen. There are not many cars that evolve progressively. I mean some cars don't look like their previous generations at all, which I don't like. Only a handful of vehicles that have their looks changed but still maintain that gene's look. The ones I could think of are JDM Accord, MX-5, Evolution, GTR(so far), 911(of course, it doesn't change much over years), 3-series, 5-series, IS(front and side proportion), Lexus LS and G35 is one of them, and I hope Infiniti keeps this G look for at least several generations.

Bashing the first generation cars only shows your extreme naivety.

When the first generation sedan was designed, Nissan was hurting for money. Lucky for us, they spent the development money in the chassis. Sure they could have gone the easy way out and slapped in a nice interior with a less expensive FWD drive train but they didn’t. The G35 was a runaway success which saved their a$$ and brought in a nice boat load of cash which has allowed them to create the new M series and the redesigned ’07 G. Without the first generation g35, Inifiniti would have been a two bit has been player.

My buddy has an ’07 and The interior is hands down nicer. I’m not sold on the exterior styling as I prefer my ’03.5 with Nismo kit.

Bashing on the older generations without knowing their history is just plain ignorant. Have some respect for your elders

+1.....
I still remember my '03 Sedan fondly.... and loved it so much.

The Sedan just keeps getting better and better.

What a toolbag. It's good to see the 2nd generation drivers are getting their share of a$$hats too.

Everytime I read the thread title it makes me think "2nd Gen Chauvinistic Pig" , the 1st Gen bashing isn't really necessary .

I think it might be a good idea to shut this thread down before anything gets out of hand.
