Hi all,

Been lurking a while but first post. 200 miles on the the G. Sucks that my first post is for a help request.

My wife has the car at work and it won't start. I thought it was the intelli key problem, but the car recognizes the key just fine. I've gone through all the usual steps with her through the phone (brake pedal, park, key slot, etc.). It goes to ACC just fine but nothing happens when the start button is pressed to start it. No error messages on the screen either. I'm thinking the immobilizer kicked in for some reason? Could be a drained battery but she didn't leave anything on.

I'm just wondering if I should driver down to her 50 miles away with the other key before calling roadside assistance to get it towed to the dealer. She is pissed right now.

False alarm. All is good. Apparently when I told her to make sure she pressed the brake pedal, she somehow thought I meant the parking brake.

Anyhow... I'll try to be more active on here and post pics of the G when I get a chance.

Glad you were able to work things out.

Now tell your wife she's on probation from driving the G, while you break the car in.

Heh heh -- one more reason why the 6MT wins .... "press the clutch" can't be confused with anything else

Glad it worked out !!

Yeah I'm glad too, I was worried there for a bit. I should have more faith with Infiniti. Maybe I should put her on probation... but it's actually her car. That said those first 200 or so miles were mostly me.

I had an incident like that too when my girlfriend took my G to McDonald's to get breakfast for me one Sunday morning. She almost panicked when the car wouldn't start as she repeatedly try to press down on the parking brake...

I called after feeling that she's gone for a long time and she managed to get the car started after figuring out that she had to step on the actual brake.

LOL I think the real problem is that you all let your significant others drive your G

~I also hope that she didn't eat McDonald's in your car!

Chicks....

<<< Shaking head >>>

The wife ain't touchin' mine... ever.

She has a nasty habit of letting curbs jumpout in front of her.

I just detailed and then handed over ownership of my 06 Acura MDX to her this past weekend.
She came home on Monday with a horrible scrape around the front driver's tire, from rubbing a curb while backing out of a spot.

She said it wasn't her fault.
