How to UNlink an intelligent key?

So my manual tells me how to link an iKey, but not how to unlink a linked iKey. I was told it was the same process, but it's not. Just tried it. All it does is keep linking the key if I follow the steps in the manual.

Anyone know how to unlink just ONE iKey?

thanks

Probably in the system diagnostic mode - someone posted a great write-up here on how to get into it...
Why would you want to do this? Just curious...

have a link for that? thanks...

i want to do it because the second key would be the one id hand to someone if they were driving my car (like a family member). I want it so that they dont have to change the seat position each fricken time they get into the car, but are also not compelled to mess with the memory settings themselves.

Why wouldn't you just link it to memory 2? Or are you already using that, so you just want this one to be "dead"?

It's in the sticky FAQ section - not even sure it's in that mode..
And wouldn't UNlinking it make it useless for starting the car? Not sure.
But as G35Now states, you can assign it to #2 memory...

linking/unlinking is just for the seating memory, not for the entire automobile.

i want the second remote to be diosconnected from the seating memory, but operate normally for everything else, which is the way it comes from the factory.
