I have rattling on my driver and passenger doors..It is the most annoying thing on thew road..it sounds like metal to metal vibration. Does anyone know what this could be? I have heard different people state they took off the panel and put rubber around certain points of contact in the door panel (probably the steel rods for the lock and unlock). Anyways can someone help me out if they have already made the fix on where and how to? Thanx

 

Just curious, did you tint and were the door panels removed at that time?

 

I was thinking along the same lines as timn99. Did they they put the panels back on the door correctly after the tint? Just a thought

 

no im pretty sure they didnt remove the panels for tinting. I think its from a combination of bass/exhaust/cheap japanese plastics/ and or metal pieces making contact

 

german plastics are any better? my dad drives a 550i and he hates how noisy that POS is......

go get the panels checked out. something ain't right.

i have had the car for about 4 months..i got it in mid January. I do blast my music. Can you help me?

 

i have a coupe and experience the same problem...i blast my music every single day and i think it could be the speaker housig the annoys the hell out of me, but im not nearly a DIYer to remove the entire door panel and its impossible to point out a rattle to the dealer....murphy's law

You're not 100% sure? If you are, the car should still be under warranty. The dealer should fix it.

 

I crank it and no noise at all-- I'd think twice about how they did the tint.
