That is crazy! I don't believe it! Which dealer did you go to? Unless they are getting some kind of dealer incentive we don't know about, it is impossible.

2007 Journey Slate Blue / Stone Interior, XM Radio, Wheel / Tire Pkg / Premium Pkg , Splash Guards, Trunk Net, Wheel Locks and all weather mats, and destination fee

$31,683, not including 6% sales tax and plate transfer fee which was $15.

That is, of course, 3.58% *below* dealer invoice under the VPP program since my buddy is an engineer for Nissan and hooked me up.

Quick question for those that have negotiated with a dealer in Canada.

Has anyone been able to reduce the freight charge, air conditioning tax, and/or gas tax before? The best price I've been able to get so far is $1100 above invoice...seems much higher than the prices I've seen in this thread for those purchasers in the U.S.A.

so jealous...

Does $33,000 for a G35S 6mt with Premium and nothing else sound like a reasonable number to shoot for?

I got my G35S 6MT with PREM, and Cargo Net for $32,575. You should shoot for about $500 less.

Having a $21000 trade in value vehicle helped reduce the tax burden.... a lot. I also transferred tags and there were no prep or doc. fees. It all added it to huge savings. The best $50.00 I spent this week was on a Costco membership, to take advantage of their buying program.

Thumbs up

As of last night I am officially the owner of my first Infiniti. Journey with Prem, Nav and Sport w/t package and cargo net. And the deal was MSRP of 37500, invoice was 34'238, selling price, 34'600.

I came from an SRT-4, a fun car but it was time to change it and little did I know how much fun G is.
I love this car.

$34,600 is before TTL and fees right?

Wait? A trade in reduces the initial sales tax? I didn't know that ...

In many (most?) states you only pay new auto taxes on the difference between the new car purchase price, and the value of the trade in.
