Door Weather Stripping

Count me in as well. My driver door had this problem and my right rear door. The dealership did not replace it, they just pushed it back in. So far it's been fine, but it's only been 4 days. I noticed when my wife closes the right rear door she holds the door by the weather stripping. I wonder if this happens when the door is being shut by the top edge. The whole design seems lousy.

Just like mine
This happened to me too. So I pushed the weather stripping back in. It was complicated to get both sides hooked in properly too. But I did it. Then a few days later, it came out again so I took it to the dealer. They took it completely off and reinstalled it. No problems for a couple of months now but it's starting to bulge up slightly again so I'll probably take it back for another reinstall or new stuff.
Near as I can tell, it is because I close the door there with my hand. But I don't abuse the weather stripping or tug on it, so it obviously comes loose easily. My dealer (Thousand Oaks Infiniti, Thousand Oaks, CA) is really cool about making sure my ride is perfect, so I'll just work this into the next oil change.
For those of you who are worrying about buying a G35 because of this, it's minor - really minor and easily fixed, and absolutely nothing compared to the bizarre stuff going on with other cars out there. The G35 is an unbelievably awesome machine - one you'll love for years and years.

I just got my car and the stripping on the driverside rear door was loose when I picked up the car. I've tried to tuck it back in on my own but no luck. I have an appt to have it fixed.
It looks like this loose piece of stripping is at best a secondary seal to keep water out of the car (the inner seal looks like it would do most of the work). We are getting severe afternoon T-Storms and would rather not have a wet interior.
Unfortunately, this is only one of several issues that need to be fixed.
