Yesterday I put new rims on my car (pics are coming soon) and i let my friend take it aroudn the block to see them while moving. As he went to park it, just as he was coming to a complete stop i herd them make a noise. Not a sqeak, ive heard this kind of noise before but i cant really explain it. I noticed today that it was happening quite a few times. If im driving at any speed and press the brake you will not hear it. If im slowing down with my foot constantly on the brake you still will not hear it. Its only when the car gets to about 5 mph and under that it makes the noise. If I lift my foot quickly then reapply it goes away as well. I'm assuming this is just brake dust, but i am a lil paranoid because i only started hearing it since i put the wheels on. Could this be anything related to the new wheels or am i just driving myself nuts?

seriosly? They were put on with an air gun, i usually like doing them by hand better though. So your saying i should make them tighter or a little less tight?

No, make sure they are set to 85 ft/lbs.


ALL aftermarket (and OEM) wheel makers recommend that you check the wheel torque at 200, or so, miles after installation.


BTW, don't ever let someone use an air impact gun to "finish" torque your lug nuts. They will NEVER get them right. You MUST use a good torque wrench to finish them.
