Rev Limiter!!!

Found out tonight at the track... the X has a rev limit of 27-2800 rpm if you are powerbraking.

rev limiter or the damn vdc that stays on after you turn it off.

Sorry to rant for a moment - I just hate that nanny stuff

Technically that's not the rev limiter. It's the the stall speed of the torque converter.

You'll know if you hit the "rev limiter." Very high pitched noise if you will, remains somewhat constant, have done it a few times to see. It actually matches fairly nice; just a slight bounce back effect, but continues to hold at the higher RPMs.

Are you sure? I've successfully gone in some pretty radical circles after turning off VDC...?

Yes, you can do some pretty cool stuff but there is still a few things it WON'T do unless you pull a few fuses.

times - 14.34. weighed car in at 3964 lbs. spec says base weight is 3704, i'm 180 (3884), half tank of gas (about 60lbs, 3944) extra 20lbs? tires at 32 psi. average reaction time about .07. i'll post pics tomorrow.

edit - powerbraking = holding brakes at dead stop and revving. i can rev as high as i want driving, but not from a dead stop.

What were your 330's? 1/8ths? Trap speeds?

Why don't you post up a few of your timeslips?
