I like the fact that XM will be a standard feature now, I am sold on that having it in my '05 and now with Directv!

The above sounds good to me. It's about time Infiniti added a little more sport to their AWD.

I'm going to hazard a guess that you can pick an "S" up through the parts department and stick it on the car. Very likely they dropped it from the automatic to avoid having a G35xS.

The thing that has me confused is that the Technology and Nav packages are each $50 less on the sedan than on the coupe. Anyone know why?

Of course, this isn't as large a difference as the $450 vs. $750 extra cost of the Journey over the base, G35 vs. G37.

Just entered 2008 G35 pricing information into my site's database, will upload to server tomorrow. For the tires with the AWD Sport Package, I'm guessing 225/50VR18, non-staggered--same tires as base G37.

08 looks exactly the same from the outside. Same 17" and 18" rims. Same bumper on the sport package models vs. the non-sport models.

I believe the 'sport' package will include everything in the 'sport' model including the larger brakes, that's according to the 08 brochure

Well if that's true I will be picking one up soon. This info just put the G35X way ahead of the other cars I was looking at.
Any 2008 brochure on-line? Infiniti still only list 07 G's on their site.

i only checked the brochure for the journey model w/ auto for the 'sports' package, once i get home, i'll have to check if its true for the awd version...

from what i remembered, the 'sports' package (for journey model w/ auto) is exactly the same compared to the 'sports' model which only comes in 6mt and has hand pull parking brakes, everything else is the same, bumper, seats, brakes, wheels (same wheels as in 07 sports model)

brochures should be hitting all the dealerships soon...

i also asked the guy about the 3.7l engine, he said it'll be in the '09 models, then i asked him if that's what infiniti/nissan told him, and then he said it's purely speculation, lol...

People are reporting that the brakes on the G37 generate virtually no brake dust. Does anyone know if the '08 G35's use the same new brake pads?

g37 comes with 2 different types of brakes, the g37 'sport' model gets an even larger set of brakes compared to the 'sport' version in sedan
12" non sport model sedan
13" sport model sedan/base coupe
14" sport model coupe (and it's 4 piston calipers)

all this stuff is on the website...

The feature list posted above did not include the brakes. Nor the sport suspension or LSD. The price is lower by $550 with AWD, there's a reason for that.

It is possible that the brakes are in there, but I think it's safe to say that the other two items are only available with RWD.
