Thumbs up 2008 G35 Changes

2008 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan

The 2008 G35 Sedan builds on the second-generation 2007 model’s myriad revisions, which included a next-generation 306-horsepower 3.5-liter V6; a striking new exterior defined by the sleek wave form hood, signature G-style taillights and pushed-back A-pillars for an athletic stance; a crafted, Takumi-inspired interior environment; and the audiophile-quality Infiniti Studio on Wheels by Bose.

The 2008 G Sedan offers a Sport Package for the G35X AWD model for the first time in G history and also receives minor refinements for the new model year.

Enhancements to the 2008 G Sedan include:
- All-new Sport Package available for G35x AWD model (late availability)
- New 18-inch Tire and Wheel Package for G35x AWD (late availability)
- Revised Technology and Navigation Packages
- Infiniti iPod Interface
- Driver’s Audio Stage
- Standard XM® Satellite Radio (requires XM® subscription, sold separately)

nice

Infiniti could do what many do for a successful launch...nothing. But they made some nice changes.

doesn't sound like it, which is a real shame.

Does anyone know why the automatic isn't a 6 speed? It would get way better gas mileage.

I'm glad I bought a 2007, nothing added that would have made the wait worth while.

I'd be pissed if they added something like cooled seats, a 3.7 liter, etc.

Audio Stage is supposed to make it seem like you are smack dab in the middle of the music, as opposed to a bit off to one side when you are sitting in the driver's seat or wherever. I had a similar feature on a Pioneer HU and I really didn't care for it.

Good stuff, I just read this on NissanNews myself. I'd be interested to find out what changes they've made to the tech and navi packages. Also, that's great news for future X owners.

18" wheels for the X is exactly what I would have wanted. What exactly do you think the Sport Package for the X is?

Assuming the sport package will come with paddle shifters, is there currently any difference in the feel between manumatic and paddle shifters when comparing the standard G and S models? I have an 07 G35X now, but have never driven the S model with paddle shifters. I figure the paddles will be much better when shifting in a spirited mode but not sure if the transmission has any changes in feel. Anybody got any experience between the two?

Dang, this makes me think about being one of those future owners, especially that sport package. Think the wife would mind if I traded in my sedan after owning it for only 5 months? Naaahhhhh!

I like the way you think, Cheryl! Worked with mountain bikes, might work with cars. Maybe I'll actually wait until they come out til I bring it up though. Just in case...you know...
