Good point, it would be kind of stupid to market the X with summer tires as people will still assume they're all set for the winter because it's AWD.

Maybe they will be 18" all season tires. We'll just have to wait and see.

I think the "Audio Stage" is based on time delay, not balance/fader. Regardless, I never cared for it anyway.

All-new Sport Package available for G35x AWD model (late availability)
- New 18-inch Tire and Wheel Package for G35x AWD (late availability

Now I have a reason to think about trading in my 2004 G35X next year....

I was considering the M45X, but I'd much rather have the G!

If they had half a brain they'd know they need winter tires for winter driving. I don't use my stock 20's on my FX in the snow.

Edit: Sorry, I'm currently in a bad mood.

I don't see any reason why they won't use summer only tires. The STi and Evo come with summer only tires.

I'd seriously have considered a G35X with the sport package if it were available on the '07s.
The STI and the Evo are purpose built tarmac terrorists designed and built with AWD in mind from the get go. The G35x is designed for climates that require AWD just like the 328xi, IS250 AWD and Merc's upcoming W204 C300 4Matic. You can tell that BMW, Lexus and Mercedes AWD models are specifically built for AWD weather and not all out performance as AWD is only available on their lesser powered models.

In fact, if Infiniti offered the 220hp 2.5L VQ25HR V6 - that's available in the V36 Skyline in Japan - in America, that that'd be the car x buyers would have to live with. It just so happens that x buyers luck out and Infiniti only offers one engine in the G for the North American market. US x buyers don't realize how lucky they are. Japan doesn't even get the 306hp 3.5L AWD model, their AWD model comes with the 220hp 2.5L V6. The Sport Package that'll be available next year is simply icing on the cake. Same thing with the upcoming M45x. Talk about catering to their customer's requests.

Damn, I would love the Sport Tuned Suspension for the X...wish I had it.

I feel like they would be able to provide the Driver Audio Stage via a Firmware update to the 07 crowd...they question is will they? And if so, how much would it run us?

Of all those items, I would really love the iPod interface if the integration is done right. I hate having to change songs on my ipod and trying to read that small screen when driving...

Or will it be SX, and how long before someone adds an 'e' in between?

i never got an answer from the thread about the ipod interface for the QX/FX that's some people are trying out. The problem with that interface is if the ipod is connected is disconnects the sat radio. It'd be interesting to see if the '08's interface does the same thing and if so, how it affects XM traffic.
