I have always wanted to share these details with you but I guess I had no time.

I was chasing the G35 launch since it was a concept design. I kept on visiting the authorized dealers and asking them about the official launch date in the Middle East and they always had no idea.

When It was officially released in December 2006 I got mine (Had to pay a down payment in July 2006 to reserve one). And I was a bit disappointed in the lack of options.

The G35 is released in the Middle East with a single model only. So you go and ask for a G35, period. No sports package, no four wheeler.

It comes with no Navigation System, no Hard Disk, and No Blue Tooth.

But it comes with a 327 Horse Powers. And with The Pedal Shifts.

The dealers do not even offer the other features for an extra cost.

I got a Silver one with black interior.

Although I was looking forward to have some of the features in the American version especially the navigation and the hard disk. But I did not regret buying it. The Car is just beautiful and drives great.

Congrats on getting the G. It's strange how the G is equipped differently from one country to the next. It's too bad that they don't offer you more options in the middle east......strange.

If your car came with the paddle shifters as you say then it's a Sport. Only 5AT Sport models come with paddle shifters.

 

This comes up all time time -- other countries don't use our updated SAE HP rating system. It's the exact same car.

 

just as i was going to post about the sae rating i seen sae in yours...thats pretty cool that non sae were about 327.

I thought that the Sport G comes with a rear spoiler. Mine doesn't.

ummm, you're kidding right?

if the packages are not the same, then how can you draw a parallel to the US spec package by saying the car must be a sport because of the paddles shifters? that's faulty logic.

 

No, the spoiler is an option. I have a 6MT Sport and there was no spoiler.
