I regularly use the manual mode (unfortunately no paddles). When you are driving the car hard, the car will shift faster and will more authority. If you are taking it easy, the car tends to be more relaxed in its shifting.

You guys need to spend more time on my350z.com. They are looking for a G to test fit these on. Check out the vid as well. This is on my mod list.....

Well, personally, I think they're kinda ugly and I'd never give up my airbag and steering wheel controls for an after-market steering wheel w/ paddle shifters.
That's too much of a loss for what is gained.

Also, I don't think I like the fact that the paddles rotate with the steering wheel.
I know most OEMs are like this, but while steering, it confuses the driver as to which paddle is up, and which is down.

Until something better comes along, I'll do without.
Thanks for the post and the info though... others may like it.

Interesting, those seem to have the exact same delay as the G paddles - no improvement. Guess you meant for a non-Sport?

ARRRRGGHHHH...

Here is a scenario to experience....

I roll into a red light in MM. As I reach the line (no one in front of me), the light turns green and the car is rolling in around 5mph or so. I'm in second gear, toggle the left shifter to downshift to 1st and step on it thinking I'll get a nice kick and launch... Instead the display shows 1, but the car hasn't actually downshifted. I end up mashing the gas pedal for a full 3 SECONDS!!! before the car finally downshifts and takes off. During those 3 seconds while my foot was on, it felt as if I'm trying to launch the car in 4th - it didn't respond.

What an annoying experience. Damn AT, the manual may be a bit "mooshy" but at least you get the gear you want whenever you want it. *sigh*
