2008 Infiniti G35 Sedan Negotiated Deal Thread
#317
Purchased last Thursday: 2008 G35S Sedan, Premium, Sport, Splash Guards, Trunk Mat, Cargo Net and 4 yr. prepaid service for $37,000.24 OTD. 2.9% @ 60 mos! Could've done better on final price, but was getting impatient after 3 months of progressive research.
Purchased at Infiniti of Santa Monica through a dealer trade - Phil Day's the man!
Generally speaking, your deal will be contingent on several factors. For one, supply and demand in your area. Two, how quickly/slowly the dealer is moving inventory. Three and most important, your negotiating skills.

Bought 2008 G35 Journey 5AT with Premium and Nav package with cargo net and mats. $200 over invoice. 2.9% for 60 months. Deal was done entirely over email. Just walked in and signed the papers and picked up the car. Had no desire to play the "let me check with my manager" game so I made sure it was done prior to ever going there. Perfect buying experience, and no you should never pay more than $300 over invoice. We all know they make all their money on maintenance anyways. I could have pushed on the $200 over invoice but that is what I offered initially and I didn't feel like putting in the extra effort for a few bucks.

Well I closed my deal at the end of April, kind of got hosed on pricing vs. what other people on here have been getting, but I think it's because there's still a good size demand in Houston - we're doing much better economy wise than the rest of the nation.
My deal worked out to I think 1,500 above invoice and below MSRP, including tint and wheel locks - then 1.9%APR for 36 months (not sure if they still offer that) and 2 years free maintenance
I'd recommend just email the Westside Infiniti online sales dept and they'll quote you the best price - I went in and tried to deal with a salesman in person and I didn't get down to the price I was quoted over email. They kind of are a$$holes about the price, not willing to throw in splash guards or anything or budge at all but they had the only car in my specs so I didn't have much choice.
Good luck! Keep us updated

Thoughts on this deal?
Hey guys, I've been lurking for a couple of weeks now. I've been playing the game and this is the last deal I got today. I was wondering what you guys thought of this deal? 39 Months, 12k Miles, $470 per month including tax. There is nothing down but they wanted the first month's payment and DMV. The car I had asked him to quote me on was a 2008 G35x with Premium, Navigation and Sport packages. He also seemed adamant that I take delivery by the end of the month and he said he has the colors I want in stock. The thing that bugs me about this deal is that he really didn't want to tell me things like the cost of the car, residual and money factor. He told me he would discuss them with me when I came in, but I live about two-three hours away. I am from Long Island in New York but the dealer (Holman) is in New Jersey. Thanks guys, I wouldn't have been able to touch this sort of deal without reading what I read here.

Yea, they usually don't tell you that stuff over the phone. The reason being they would like you to come in and sell you the car on the spot. That way, if you feel hesistant on the price they give you, they will work with you on the price so you won't go anywhere else. If they tell you the price over the phone, they assume you take that price and shop it to other dealers. Then, it becomes a bidding war, which they don't want. Same thing happened to me, but I knew I would get a good price and I did and was ready to buy on the spot anyways.

Just under two weeks ago, I bought my 08G35x premium package, splash guards, wheels lock, all weather mats as a demo with 3k miles on it. Got it for $33,216 (a little over $1000 under invoice) plus $125 in title/tags + tax and 2.90 apr.
If you are really getting to the nitty gritty, ask them to lower the doc fees. They took mine from $250 to $100 without me even asking :shrugs:
