Best "common" oil filter for G35?

I'm planning on doing all my oil changes and just wanted to know which filter that you can buy at AutoZone, Checker, etc. is best? If there's a superior filter that you can get online for a similar price I'd apreciate that info too. Thanks!

Why not just go with the OEM Infiniti filter? They're not all that expensive and it's such a critical component on the car, I personally wouldn't go cheap on this part. I'm sure you can buy them in bulk for a good price. I haven't checked the 07 filter prices, but I know the 03-06 oil filters can be bought for about $5/each.

I dont think you can do wrong with either the Mobil-1 M108 or the Napa Gold Fil1365. Napa filters are made by Wix, if you do not have a napa store close by ask your local retailer for the Wix version. Stay away from any crap made by fram.

+1 on staying far away Fram *EXCEPT* for their XG line (extended guard) which is a pretty well constructed filter.
But IMO, for the price of XG, I'd stay with OEM/Wix etc

PS: Have never cut open a Infiniti OEM - have had good expr. with prev Nissan OEM applications - so this one is probably just as good.

Thanks for the replies, our Autozone was out of the Mobil1 and the K&N for the G35, both looked like exceptional quality filters. I ended up w/ the Bosch, seems to be better than the Fram, but at only $5.99 it's probably not on par w/ the Mobil,K&Ns though. I'll try and get one of those next change (unless someone can sell me on the Bosch)

Nope. Both filters are made by Champion Labs and both use the same exact components. The K&N has slightly more media inside, but it has a slightly lower flow rate because of it. They are essentially the same.
