I am only interested in the shift **** from the 08 M, however if you like the shift **** from the previous M's, check at some of your local junkyards. You might be able to pick one up cheap.
Yeah that price is crazy for just the ****... although if it came with the boot also it might make me feel better

I'm fairly sure that it will fit... after all the shaft is probably the same diameter, and I doubt Infiniti re-designs stuff like that between cars. It just makes it easier to build cars when things are standard.

Goes back to my DIY ICC/rear view camera post... just like the paddles, my guess is the wiring is there and it's just the modules that are missing.

Will you make a post about this DIY? I'm interested in doing this, too.

Sorry for jacking the thread.

But yeah, the shift **** probably is quite expensive... I'll ask the folks at the Riverside Infiniti, they often sell OEM parts cheaper than the other.

Assuming that it fits, group buy perhaps?

Okay- Infiniti of Denver is selling the 07 ***** for $120.00, they wouldn't price an '08 sport **** yet for some reason.

Might not even be in the catalog yet. Is the 08 even on the floor yet?

Yes, the dealers have the part numbers for the 08 shift ****.....or at least my CDN dealer does. The 08s started to arrive at the dealerships a few weeks ago IIRC.

Just to give everyone and idea of the difference between the two.

1st gen M45S.

2nd gen M45S.

A high res pic is available here

I like the 08 M45S shift **** much better since the white stitching matches the G35S quite nicely.

Where is the shift lock button on the M ****? If it's too funky it might not be plug-and-play.

That was the problem when trying to do this with the older Gs... they had the button on the side.
