Trying to negotiate a lease on G35 compared to Audi A4

Hello everyone.

I am in the market to lease a new entry lexel luxury sport sedan. Ive looked at TL,A4,328i,IS 250, C300 and of course the G35.

Ive come down to the A4 vs the G35. Fully loaded with an MSRP of 40,5 and an invoice of 38, I have negotiated a 36 month 12k lease with Audi of $469/month with 2k down. The car has basically every option available.

When I went to Infiniti, I test drove a beautiful g35 6-speed with nav, and I loved it. Love the way I feel in the car and love the interior. The sticker was 38k, and they wanted $525 with 2k down. What gives? I know the money factor on the Audi is probably better, but is anyone else getting better lease deals?

I do like the Audi AWD and I think for the price being cheaper than the Infiniti its a better car for the money, but I love the Infiniti inside and out and I feel the interior destroys that of the Audi.

Does this quote sound normal? These guys wouldnt budge.

Lease payments depend on mpney factors, residuals, etc. Youd be better off buying 1 year used (07 G35) and financing it for 72 months. Your payment would be about the same or less then the lease you quoted, with no money down.

In any case Id say stay away from the A4. Come on man, the hesitation of the 2.0 T when you press the accelerator is unbearable, and the car dosent start really moving till the turbo spools up, and then its a 0.60 run in the high 7's. If you do go with the lease option, youre paying an extra 55 bucks for 0-60 in 5.2 secs, better interior, way more style, way more cache. Its a no brainer.

Are both vehicles 08's? If the G is an 07 that may be part of it.

I would ask both dealers to break down the lease for me including money factors, residuals, etc and make the comparison based on that. I would also suggest that if you live in an area with more than one Infiniti dealer, shop around you should be able to get a better deal than that.

Both are 08s.

The money factor on the Audi is better.

yea the audi has a better money factor then the g35 S

the X model actually has quite a bit better numbers on the lease. I know this was the case when I was leasing my g last april.

As far as ppl saying the g's interior is way beyond that of the audis, I dont know about all that. Audis have some of the best interiors in the industry, esp there fit and finish. Overall though, the cars arent even a comparison...G all the way.

My nephew just picked up an A4 Quattro. I was really surprised how cheap the interior looked to me. I would never touch an Audi myself due to reliability issues. Maybe they have gotten better. I suppose they are good lease vehicles while under warranty though. I do not think I have ever heard someone say they had an Audi with 100-150K miles that never had a major problem of some sort. :-)

Only thing is you cant get a manual in AWD, and I already have a Mustang for power.

If the G35 could come near the Audi in price Id be all over it.

You might try going through a reputable auto broker, if possible. The dealerships here were impossible to deal with (their "deals" were no such thing) and our broker got us an incredible deal and the exact car we were looking for (wood trim was hard to find at the time). Worth a look.

You are right. Quality wise but when you look at it, it is boring. Same as it was 3-4 years ago. I love audi but I would never own one till they improve reliability and the interior (new style[alfa romeo] not the old fashioned europian[bmw, audi,vw]).
