Help! how much is extended warranty worth
Guys,
Dealer and I are haggling over price on used 2007 G35x. Has offered to give me the 7 year/100,000 warranty, including free oil changes and loaner car use. How much is this worth - dealer says it's a $1500 option. anyone know?

Dealer's cost on this is minimal. They are paying someone to change your oil...probably $20 including the oil.
Consumer Reports data shows the G is one of the most reliable cars put there and they don't recommend the extended warranty.
I would tell them it's only worth $750 to you since the car is so reliable and you can get oil changes for $25. Then see if they'll come down on the price.

I think they make you pay for the data online. It's their April issue and you can find it in any library. They survey thousands of car owners every year. Here is what they give you for free:

They top rated the G in its class.
