LOL. No worry, our service guys are stand up d00ds who do in fact know what they're doing. Jason will be writing the RO for my car as well. And no they don't have the parts in stock at the moment. You can be sure of that because lord knows I would have tried (and probably failed) to slide my car in first. Cheeeee. He told me they're ordering them and he'll give me a service date when they get a better idea of when the replacement parts will be arriving. That's good news though. Now I can request the fully loaded Sport/Premium/Nav/Tech loner.

Gotta call the dealer and setup an appt.

Hey adam --> who's your service advisor @the dealer ? PM me if you don't want to post.
Dave. He's the primary rep for Matt (the salesman I worked with on my car). Big kudos for him, imo.!

Arrrghhh. I got my letter a little while ago, but the Closest dealership to me SUCKS!!!! ( Pinnacle Infiniti) WORST dealership I've ever had to deal with, NEVER go there, unless you have to be towed there. Hope Scottsdale Infiniti is better, can't be much worse.

i only off the cuff said "sure" to the service, i had my car in for a different reason, but boy am i glad i did it...

Since this only affects 1,600 vehicles, does anybody know how many 2007 6MT sedans were actually sold in the US?

I'm curious to see if this applies to all 2007 6MT sedans. Mine is May 2007 build date.

Got mine back from the shop today. Huge difference! For 9 months, I kept telling myself that I gotta get used to the clutch, gotta get used to it. But it wasn't me.
I'd seriously doubt myself coming out of first. Hard acceleration to 2nd and 3rd was awkward. No more herky jerky feel.
The car feels complete now. Has a tight, solid, harmonious feel to it now. Never felt that way in the first nine months.
Feels like I have an entirely different car now
You NEED to get this done.

edit: also wanted to mention that at 5th/6th gear, I used to get this weird vibration feedback thru the shifter. Didn't notice it on the way back home (about 25 miles) but will keep an eye on it.
Also think I might be able to get better gas mileage, since I always felt I was hitting the accelerator too much as I transitioned over from the clutch (it catches much better now). Will keep an eye on this (avg about 20 mpgs over 9 months)...one can hope

I will be participating in the recall. My next oil change is in 2-3 weeks. I'll gamble and do it then. Today I had some strange clutch issues while down shifting to 4th. Clutch didn't want to let go. I had a 2003.5 6mt which I never had any problems with the clutch. But this 2007 6mt has felt strange. I thought it was just me coming from an Audi and Subi Legacy sticks before coming back to Infiniti again. We shall see the results soon.

The work was completed on mine on Monday. I never noticed any "lightness" in my clutch... only an annoying vibration when I shifted at mid to high RPMs. Whatever they did, the vibration is now almost completely gone. YEAH!! One of the parts they installed as a "insulator and bolt kit" #34115-CD026. Wonder if this had anything to do with isolating the vibration. My service tech didn't know. Joel

Just got my 076MT back last night. Had both the slave cylinder and the ECM fixes (TSB-07-45 for the cold start issue).

The clutch job took way more than 3 hours, requiring a three day stay because of the weekend and Holiday crews on MLK day, whom the service manager didn't quite trust with the clutch work.

Got a loaner (an 0735X), and the service manager even dropped my car off at my house and picked up the loaner because of the 3 day wait. As decent as one can expect.

I concur with several of the comments above that the whole clutch, shift and throttle dynamic is much smoother. It feels almost german smooth, less like the stiff, muscular Nissan dynamic, which with 7350 miles I had gotten used to.

I can't detect any loss of reponse or power, but my drive this AM was limited to rush hour. This afternoon I should be able to open it up a bit in lighter traffic. I'll keep you all posted.

All the TSBs on the 07G are both distressing and encouraging at the same time. At least they acknowledge and fix their problems with minimum hassle and inconvenience.

In all, I'm happy with the Infiniti brand, the G being my first Nissan-Infiniti ride.
