Service Bulletin for drive side window noise

I called Infiniti yesterday and complained about the noise that comes from the driver side window. A dealer has tried to fix it 3 times but no luck. It is like a hiss noise, similar to the noise that makes when you don't close the window all the way. I can not stand this wine noise any longer. Infiniti said that there is a service bulletin # ITB08-005 that just comes out the same day that I called. So guys, call Infiniti and mention ITB08-005 and call your dealer to have the noise fix. I will report back as soon as I have it fix.

The TSB is not posted yet on the InfinitiHelp website. Did they say when it's really coming out? I do a lot of highway driving and I experience this irritating driver side window noise problem everyday.

My husband thought I was crazy, but finally heard it. I have been wondering what this was as it only happens while driving on the highway.

Very frustrating.

This is great info. I only get the noise on the highway at speeds above 60 MPH. Maybe I can get this fixed now. Thanks

I had a problem with my driver side window. It wasn't a hissing noise though, sort of a clicking. It ended up being a problem with the regulator, the dealer replaced it for me a few weeks ago.

It is not posted yet. It just came out 2 days ago. You guys will have to call the Infiniti and tell them about ITB08-005. I have been driving 4 loaners, all 07 G35s. 3 of them have that noise. I wonder how many owners don't care about hearing the noise and still accept a $40k car with noise coming from the out side. Not me.

If I have to guess there will be in hundreds or thousands of our Gs having this issue. so get it fix guys.

i fixed a clicking regulator the other day. it ended up being the dampening springs that attach the cable spool to the motor. they get a bit loose and jostle around. wrapped them in some foam pad and place foam blocks under the cables and noise is gone. btw i work at an infiniti dealership, first year apprentice

^^I was gonna say, that's taking some initiative fixing that all on your own.
My service dept actually ordered me a new regulator from the factory, and just replaced the whole thing. Dealers love that warranty work that they can bill for!

I just called my dealer referencing the bulletin you referenced. They told me this was for a "squeeking" problem, not with "hissing" wind noise.

i have had this "hising" wind noise for 8 months and it has caused me to hate my car 100percent and tell everyone what an awefull car it is.

my car came out to just under 40k and i hate the thing. Please keep me posted on this issue as i am losing my mind.

I've already had 2 cases open with nissan consumer affairs, that was a waste of time. i am at the end of my rope and need help.

please help!

Don't call the dealers. They don't know anything. Can some one call infiniti and ask about this service bulletin? Now I am not sure. I have not yet taken my car in. Too busy with my children.

Kenny, I am with 100% in terms of hating this car. I just told two of my coworkers to not buy Nissan or Infiniti.

I don't have a sedan (yet), but I'm wondering - is this issue related to a mechanical flaw or is it just inherint in the aerodynamic design.

Someone else posted a fix for the screeching noise - mine does it a speeds above 120, or above 100 in a cross-wind. He said his dealer adjusted down the limiter for the window (so it doesn't go up and press into the window seal quite as far) and the noise went away. I'm going to have my dealer try it too.
