LEASE: 2008 G35 AWD w/ Premium Package

Is that a good deal?

I've never leased a car...What hidden fees are there?

Should I try to haggle for a better price or more features?

thanks

Leases are tricky beasts that can mask bad deals. I would educate yourself on leases and lease terms before going into the fire. I would suggest the G35 lease forum on Edmunds as a good place to bone up on leases. Some initial suggestions:

Price the car you want WITHOUT discussing leasing. Know what you will pay for the car as though you were paying cash. Then talk about leasing, using that pre-negotiated price as the cap cost. Be aware of money factors, security deposits and gap insurance before they explain it to you.

Negotiate the price like you do on a purchase.

Money factor should be no higher than .0026 on a lease (this is to waive the security deposit, if your credit isnt too hot.)

Gap is included on all leases.

Security deposit should be waived unless your credit is less than steller, and you want to get the lowest money factor possible.

(on a side note, multiple security deposit leases are awesome, but those are a completely different beast.)

That price for the 29995 with sunroof, is a killer deal... I was offered 31,200 and it is 1000 under invoice... JUMP ON IT, if you can afford to finance a car...

The ad shows that the 29,995 price is for a 2007 G "sedan with sunroof." Is that still considered a good deal? I mean, it would be a killer deal for an '08, but I don't know about an '07.

Just for sh*ts and giggles, a fully loaded G35x Sport will run you about $54,000 here in Canada or around $800/mo on a lease.

I have a 2001 Audi A6 2.7T for trade-in, with very little tread left on the tires. How important are the tires on a used trade in? Should I get some new ones put on before I let the dealership look at it?

No, the money you spent will not increase the value of the trade enough to be worth it. You might want to consider used tires, however.
