Yeah. At LEAST you got an updated/uprated motor. The 330i guys got the motor leftovers in the new bodystyle.

Also I hear there are some nice gains from just a catback!

Nothing wrong with the 2nd gen CVT in the new Murano or Altimas. I love that transmission!

So if you had a choice between 6MT, 5AT and CVT on your G35, you would choose...

The 35VHR "feels" more responsive, but the problem is that the 35HR is already so much better than the 35DE . Because the 35HR is so much more responsive than the 35DE, the difference between the 37VHR and the 35HR didn't feel as apparent at first. However, certain cars have a touchier throttle than others. Crappy build tolerance much? You can even feel differences in the clutch pedal from one car to the next. In any case, the 37VHR feels more responsive but because the Coupe is heavier it while the motor responds more quickly, it feels like it's working a bit harder to move those extra 200 or so pounds. I think the biggest thing is that it "sounds" faster because of the Coupe's throatier exhaust note.

DSG

But between them, after driving all 3, I would take the 2nd gen CVT. It's just very smooth, and faster than the other two transmissions. Obviously a 6mt driver can be faster if he is a excellent driver.

So beautiful.

Did anyone notice the CLEAR headlights? No orange reflector... All euro spec cars dont have any amber reflectors in their headlights like the E90 euro headlights.

"...detuned from 330 horsepower to 306...Interestingly, the G37 Sedan actually has less torque than its G35 counterpart - 258 pound-feet instead of 270."

Does this make us 07/08 owners feel a little bit better? haha

Anyone else notice this ??

is it a typo ?

The navigation system covers more than 30 European countries and offers Birdview as well as conventional displays on the integrated eight-inch colour screen.

we have a 7inch, I know the M has an 8 inch. I wonder if they revised it. Hard to say from the pics.

IMO the 3.7 liter engine is not necessarily faster than 3.5. The 2008 G37 coupe is slower than 2008 G35 sedan in all published stats.

Some say it's the weight but IMO the increase in stroke don't work well, this basically means a longer crank on a bicycle which means more force needs to be applied to bring out the higher speed. So in a way the 3.7 has to work harder, instead infiniti should've increase the bore to compensate for the stroke increase but this will cost them more money I'm guessing. The extra 0.2 liter increase is all stroke, should've been 0.1 for stroke and 0.1 for bore and the VQ37 engine will be crazy~! Just my thought-

I believe the extra weight from the G37 comes from the G37 doors added safety cross bars. I read somewhere that the original G37 was having trouble passing side crash tests so they had to add in addition cross members into the door.
