I suspect that production of 2008 G35's will be ending very shortly. I have been trying to locate a specifically optioned G35 sedan for the past 3 weeks and dealers within a 300 mile radius are telling me the same thing. They have no future allocation info on the 2008 G35, and the national inventory is dwindling. As of this month, you can not factory order a specific 2008 G35.

One salesman muttered to me that I could not get a fully optioned Desert Platinum G35S because there is a "stop order" on 08 models. BS? Who knows.

Once information about a 2009 G37 sedan for the US market is made public, Nissan will act quickly. Sales of 2008 models will plummet and the 2009 G37 Sedan needs to be quickly released to maintain the sales momentum.

As mentioned before, I really feel sorry for anyone who bought an 08 G35 within the last few weeks.

LOL... Ditto!

Anyone else notice that it appears to have headlight washers?

Man, I am SO glad I held off...been lookin, test drove, wanted a xS and none were avail so waited a bit longer for one of those but always in the back of my mind, wondered if '09 might be the year for new motor and trans...and it looks to be so...this is huge. And it looks like they moved that damn CD changer from the trunk opening, which made an already small opening even less useful, to the dash....NICE...more power hopefully, better MPG and some upgrades elsewhere...I'm in.

when did the '08 G37 coupe arrive in '07? August-ish?

Isn't it still going to be quite a wait for the G37 sedan?

I could see the 5AT guys being more upset because the 7spd tranny would be cool... but I really don't feel too upset about it. I've already got G37 rims and the 6MT isn't changing... and 24 crank hp isn't exactly a huge difference.

Cool... the rumour was always 3.7L was going to find it's way to the g35. Just did not realize it would happen so soon, and with a 7 speed auto as well.
They are gonna have to raise the price, otherwise it be even better bargain/value as compared with competition. Either way it is a win/win.

I will get my next G35/ or BMW in 2011-2012.

The VQ37 motor supposedly will be detuned to the same hp as the VQ35HR, but will have even LESS torque. However, the 7AT gearing will probably make the car quicker compared to the 5AT.

07/08 non-nav, non-base models have already an in-dash cd changer.

And everyone called me a liar about G37 sedan This may be my first new car. I will most definitely be a 13.5 second ride and I highly doubt the asking price will be, but about $1K-1.5K more than the G35. The G37 coupe is going to get flat out smoked by this thing. Sign me up for a G37S 6MT (assuming they really did fix the quirks) for $36K.

I'm not all that jealous about the horsepower difference. I think the G35 currently has plenty. But that 7 speed auto box... Damn. First I had an '06 330i, then traded it for the G35, and now this... :-(. Oh well, I promised myself that I will keep this car for a long time, and I love the car, even if there are suddenly even nicer cars available.

Anyone here more details about the upcoming 2009 SH-AWD Acura TL? What kind of HP is that going to have? My wife drives an MDX, and the SH-AWD is amazing. That thing just handles corners in a way that feels impossible for an SUV. Always something else to drool about....

Cheers
Tamir
