Gear Shifter Scratching

Gear Shifter Scratching

Hey Guys my 5AT is showing scratches on the gear shifter, the dang thing scratches when i just look at it.

It is really easy to scratch that thing. Too bad mine had already gotten a couple of scratches before I began taking care of it.
I caught myself just the other day accidentally bringing the seatbelt latch really close to it.

Mine had a couple of dings too - then I did the M shift boot change, and voila, problem solved (looks cool too).

I also have scratches on mine and couldn't figure out where they came from.

Switch it out to the M45 Sport shift **** like a couple of us have and you won't have any issues with scratching.

I even got the dealer to replace mine one and it is all scratched up again..

and I cannot figure out how it even gets scratched

What does the M one look like and where do you get it from?

okay.. well just a thought, i dont either but my car was scratched when i bought it used, so maybe the previous owner wore a ring or two

You can look at this thread as it has some pics of the M45 Sport shift ****. I got the shift **** from Jason@Riverside and it was about $100 IIRC. Jason is no longer at Riverside Infiniti but you can send a PM to Tony@Riverside if you are interested. The M45 Sport shift **** is a MUCH better quality shift **** than the stock one that comes in the G.
