Someone messed my car up on a test drive...

Well, I guess its not mine anymore. I stopped by today to pick up my old tags and county sticker and was talking to the guy at the lot that bought it and he showed me where someone tore it up on a test drive. They had to have turned it right into a curb (any other explanations?). Scratched the hell out of the front quarter panel right at the bottom in front of the wheel. He blamed it on how low the car was.... ironically, the very bottom of the area is not scratched, its just the side. I cannot explain it... ill show on a picture.

(this is the area he messed up, but on the other side)

Nonetheless, it made me very upset, even though its not my car anymore...

^^ what does that matter?

I have no idea how that damage could have occured on a curb if the sides were not scratched.. Very weird.

Yeah the fact it was lowered shouldn't have mattered if they hit the SIDE like that!

That sucks Sean - I know I'd feel badly if I sold my G then someone messed it up. Sounds soooo shallow/weird to 99% of the population, but we understand!

So what are you going to get? The G8? People are already modding them and getting major gains out of basic stuff like exhaust and intake.

Yeah, I am not totally sure how it happened either... the only thing I can think of is making a right turn entirely too sharp out of a parking lot and hitting the front on the radius?!?! I have to go out near there again today, maybe I will snap a quick real lif pic, instead of my little MS paint job, haha.

Glad you guys understand that it still bothered me, haha

I actually bought the new ride Wed evening. I was planning on waiting a while and driving my beater Jeep (90 wrangler) for a while, but it forced my hand by blowing up. So, I ended up scrambling and buying a new Pathfinder LE V8. It just feels so much like home, haha. The nav and controls are pretty similar to what I have been used to. I will throw some pics up at some point. Its Silverton Blue, so 4th blue car in a row, haha. I wanted to do something different, but this was the best deal...

Any ideas on why the back up camera doesnt show the projected path? The 08 Gs still do that, correct??

Yeah I think if I ever move away from my G (not likely!) I'll stick with Nissan. The '09 Maxima is SUPER sick.

I will get around to posting some pics. I have to get some nicks fixed first. someone slammed a door into it before I bought it, and now I have found that it is all scratched up on both sides of the hood and front quarter panels where they meet the hood. All total, $815 to fix at the local body shop. He doesnt think all the scratches along the hood will come out, I dont wanna paint though, Ill prob just wet sand and live with it- the mark on the front left quarter has to be painted though, its pretty bad. Gotta wait and see what the stealership says though...

They had only allotted $400 to fix the big nick... gonna have to pony up some more as I already told them about the others.
