I was just googling some 07 08 exhausts for our car and came across this website. What do you guys think about this? Looks like an axle-back system similar to the HKS exhaust.

i still think a stillen full system is the best bargain. I like those tips the color is nice

 

I think the stillen exhaust is definitely a great sounding exhaust, but I'm sure we can agree it's no bargain considering you can get other exhaust systems for cheaper.

You can have two out of the three attributes for most products these days but not all three. Reliable, cheap, and great performance.

If you buy a car that is cheap and reliable, chances are it's gonna have crappy performance. I put the stillen exhaust as reliable and great performance...but not cheap.

 

I think it sounds really nice. I couldn't find an example on a G35 but here's one on a G37 which I'm sure would sound similar. Cat-backs don't really make power on our cars anyways so it's pretty much all look and sound and I think this has both pretty well. The mufflers look to tuck up pretty nice too.

 

Man...that actually sounds really good. do you think that the car just sounds like that because it has a slightly more agressive exhaust note from the factory since it is a g37 or do you think the mufflers are helping to create the deeper tone? I would really like to hear this muffler system on a sedan...thanks for the video though

 

Comparing the Stillen exhaust on the G37 with the one on the G35 Sedan, they sound very similar. So hopefully the Tanabe muffler will be the same too =D

I called tanabe because I wanted to look into why the mufflers looked off-centered in the pictures and they told me that they push the mufflers all the way to the outside...why would they do that?

 

I think the tanabe sounds great, but I can't imagine putting a 115 size oval tip on my sedan. I wish there was another option besides impul that makes a stock size/looking style oval tip. love this exhaust look and sound, but no way am I paying 2000 grand
