I went to the track tonight. My car is G35S auto with KN replacement filters and Fast Intentions exhaust.

You cannot powerbrake more than 2500rpm. period.

If you hit it hard, lots of wheels spin.
My best launch was running ds mode, 1700rpm power brake and easy on the throttle. 14.1 at 88 Deg F, the mustang that runs with me did 13.96.

So, I believe that in cold weather this car is on the 13's.

My tires are also bigger 235/50/18 and 255/45/18 Toyo T1R (lots of spin on the track).

I will test next week on a different track.

Hopes this helps you.

On my way to work, I tried to brake torque my 08 X to 4k...not happening. It went to somewhere between 2500-2800rpms. I let off the brake started to go and got VDC blinking and that pretty much was the end of that launch.

:Rant On:

I cannot F@CKING believe that the VDC is so damn sensitive that it will kill the throttle on a F@CKING AWD auto car on dry pavement ...GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrr

:Rant off:

Looks like you're right - from the tests others posted in the thread, the stall speed is around 2.5k. Guess what I previously read was incorrect.

^that led me to believe that the OP was driving manual since he mentioned 4k clutch drop. But i guess i am not that good reading his language so I will live it as is.

This is the same thing I notice. Some cars don't brake tq as well.

I know for some cars, if you have a high stall and drag slicks, Brake torquing is slower. A buddy of mine dropped .2 seconds off his 60' time by the "punch it and go" method (to a 1.5 60').

ive actually seen a few links around the internet with 5AT owners getting better 1/4 mile times in DS than they do in M.

I gotta get a chance to go out there and run it/
