bluetooth delay on incoming calls?
Hi, guys, I have an 07 G sedan w/o Nav, my iPhone works well with the bluetooth, except when I receives an incoming call, it takes 6~7 seconds before I can start a conversation, but once it connects, the conversation is of good quality. Is it normal? Anybody experience this?
Edit: the latest firmware 2.1 for iPhone has solved this problem for the 1st Gen iPhone that I own (very likely also applies to the 2nd Gen phone).

I have the same issue with my iphone. When I answer the phone it flips to the radio for about 5 seconds and then back to phone mode.
It started doing this after the first software ugrade from apple.

I think in order to have a name show up, you will have to use "transfer entry" from your phone instead of using voice command when you set up an entry. I am using a Samsung just for transfering entry. I replace my iPhone with this Samsung, transfer all the entries one by one, and replace it back to iPhone. hope this helps.
Yep - it's a compatibility issue between Bluetooth 2.0 (iPhone) and 1.x (the G). My Razor never did it, but both of my iPhones have.

When the person calls, it shows up as private but when it connects, it then shows the person's name. Any thoughts? You think if I do the phone transfer way it'll work?

Same problem here. Another user posted a solution. Press answer from the phone instead of the steering wheel to eliminate this problem. My phone is usually not within reach, which is why I use the steering wheel. But I will be sure to try this new technique next time I am in the car.

I had a Motorola Razr and never noticed this delay.
I just recently moved to a LG Dare and I now see this delay as well.
It's not 5 seconds long, but there is a blip between the phone ringing and answering where the system goes back to the radio, but it's only a second at most.
