quick reply needed...
Its has been one month since I have had my car. (2008 OB G35S 6MT) I have 700 miles on my car so far. I know the break in period is 1200 miles with rpm being varied throughout..I suppose.
Here's the situation.
I live in central jersey and I am going down to DC tonight. I think the approximate miles one way is 245miles one way. Do you think its okay if I take my car on the road trip this early? I will vary the rpm during the weekend though...
lol
Thanks for replying so quick.
Depending on your I'll either take my old car or the new.

Just drive the car. You are not going to hurt it by driving it like a normal person. I would stay away from the cruise control though. It's a short trip so it really shouldn't matter much. Have a nice time.
Yeah its so hard no to speed outside baltimore dc area though no cops on 50 the whole way up that i have seen except by the bridge area

You guys are paranoid!
Just drive it. If you don't want to look like a weirdo constantly changing speed, can't you just swap between 5th and 6th periodically while maintaining the same speed?

Honestly, unless you are driving across central IL or somewhere else where it is completely flat, the RPM's will vary even if you are driving the same *speed* because the load on the engine changes with elevation.
Thanks for the quick reply guys. I didnt get a chance to reply before i left. It was fun drive..cant feel the speed at all.. the car drives very smooth..lol I am at 13xx miles now...almost doubled it.
But unfortunately i had some battle scars. I have two chips on the side of my car. They are small chips so I am going to ask to dealer to try to touch it up.
