Important Info about 09 Sedan Performance wheel and tire package
The Performance Wheels and Tires package on the 07/08 sedans came with staggered Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires. Sizes were 225/50/18 and 245/45/18
The 09 Sedan Performance Wheels and Tires package comes with Dunlop Sport Maxx A1 tires. These are NOT staggered. Tires are 225/50/18 all the way around.
Small, but important distinction.
The sport package continues to come with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires, staggered.
Also, note that AWD Sport cars come with M+S tires, not the Potenza RE050A's. I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me the model; I know that the xS comes with 225/50/18.

They're high performance tires. With the new sport package, most people will probably opt out, which is why the RE050A is reserved for just the sport package.
99% of the sedan consumers will never use the 050A's capabilities, and only experience the drawbacks of a high performance summer tire (road noise, short life)

I kept my 050's and OEM wheels, but for daily driving i also have a different set-up using Falken FK452's. Cheaper, quieter and comfier, plus i can rotate so it's more practical.

I'll post the info here too. My 09 xS has Dunlop SP Sport Maxx A1 A/S tires.
They're still unidirectional so the can only be switched front to rear, not left to right (well you can but you have to take the tires off the wheel to do that).
