Starting negotiations with my dealer, need help
That's because Acura, like all of the other auto makers, is slashing production.

Just curious, have you driven the new TL? What were your impressions? I drove a SH-AWD TL back in November and thought it drove okay and had a really nice interior. On a downside, it's hard to get past the exterior styling, you felt the weight and size of the car during acceleration and cornering. It's a nice alternative to an ES350.

I have driven the SH-AWD several times now and am considering it or G35/G37. I am coming out of 08 Type-S and you are correct, the 09 TL feels and behave bigger. It is bigger, but you feel it now. The ride is great, but I too am not too sure about the styling. I want to love my car and I while I'll love the ride of the SH-AWD, I don't think I'll ever love the look. The G35/G37 however looks awesome drives great, just have to get used to the inferior NAV technology to Acura.
Back OT- it certainly looks like Infiniti dealers are attempting to hold the line on pricing for the G37. As the year plays out (and supplies of the G35 dwindle), expect to see more flexibility. Still, it may take until fall to see much significant manurfacturer-to-dealer incentives on the G37...

I am trying to buy one now...
The car:
2009 G37 Sedan 6MT Sport
Premium package
Splash guards
Trunk mat
MSRP is around $37,800
Invoice is about $34,800
They offered it to me for $36,800
I have 5.4% financing lined up, so they will knock another $1000 off, and I am trying to get the $500 Infiniti owner/loyalty cash back.... So, with all rebates I should be around $35,300 ($500 over invoice).
So, that is not the greatest deal, but I am happy with it for a couple of reasons. I really like the dealership and salesman. It is also a car that they do not have on their lot. It is either coming from port, another dealer, or a holding lot. I don't have as much bargaining power with them having to order the car. However, I am getting the exact car I want. Anyway, I am happy, and I hope to work this deal out today. I will keep you posted.
