'08 G35xS snow driving question
drove my new g for the first time in the snow tonight. never owning an awd before i was curious how the car would react if i tried to slide the rear out goin around a corner in the snow. it slid like a typical rwd car but as the slip light kept flashing (i did not shut off the vdc) i could hear some sort of clunking (resembles the pinging heard when the dpw truck goes down the side of your car shooting out salt chunks, or as if the snow was shooting at the rear of the car) and it would stop when i let off the gas. is this normal? is it the result of vdc and the active braking system? anybody experience anything like this? thanks for any feedback
Meant it is an 08 G35xS..

that is not correct, the spinning wheels will be slowed by the throttle modulation form the computer. the ABS will kick on on the front tire on the leading side of the slide. so if you car fish tails out to the drivers side. the drivers side front tire will lock up, pushing the *** end of the car back.
listen to where the sound is coming from, ull hear it from that direction.
yes true, when the power diffs out to one side.
my 6mt has the limited slip diff so it doesn't happen very often. most of the time i sideways...
