First off to Admin: I couldnt find the section buyer's feedback? If there is one, you can move the thread.

So I purchased an iphone from a forum member about a month ago. i sent payment as money order--( i know, stupid me) and the seller cashed it in. At first he said he went on vacation for a week, i understand. I didnt get the phone the second week because he wrote down the wrong address, reasonable. Last week he said he shipped it, but i never got the iphone. During all this time i never received a tracking number or any help from this seller. Till this day i still dont have anything. I have contacted the seller, but all he could do is make up excuses.

I'm sorry to hear that man.. thanks for the heads up to everyone here. I sure you will helps others that would fall into the same scam.

 

File a claim with the postmaster general and local authorities. What he did is interstate commerce fraud, which carries a severe penalty.

 

It would be EXTREMELY helpful to have a feedback thread or subsection of the classifieds, imho, but make sure that you leave itrader feedback anyways, it's better than nothing.

 

Sorry to hear about this. Why did you post it in the "07+ Sedan" section? Try putting it in the lounge somewhere.

Best of luck, OP. If the seller claims he sent the iphone via non-certified USPS, then you may be SOL because there's no way to track it, but if he is legit, who in their right mind wouldn't send an item as expensive as an iphone via a carrier that offers some sort of tracking (FedEx, UPS, certified USPS) and with insurance.

 

the way i do itraders rating is by clicking the number next to iTraders: (#) in the info area on posts. not sure if thats the right way but it gets the job done. then on the next page click "From Buyers".

I really hate to say it, but if you paid with money order you kind of deserve it. Proctect yourself first man. I hope it gets figured out.

 

yea i know and i kinda do deserve it, but i figured since it was on the forum, i would be ok. I know most people are good people, i caught a bad apple.

I don't understand how anyone could think that someone "deserves" this. He definetly shouldve known better than to pay with a money order... But I don't think its fair to say he deserved it.
