Switching to the DARK SIDE!!!
So....some of you may remember that my 08 G got totaled out a few weeks ago. Well...I've tried and tried to find an acceptable G that I wouldnt mind paying for again, but I couldnt.
I found a Lexus IS350 instead.....Kinda sad to not be in a g....but let me tell you, that IS350 is no slouch.
Heres a preview: http://www.globalmotorcars.com/image...ockNumber=1017

IMO IS350 > G35
It out performs the G in many categories except for maybe handling characteristics and the fun factor u get with the G.. in addition, you will definitely notice better gains in the IS than the G w/ aftermarket parts. However, don't forget that it also comes with a higher price tag than the G.
I was on a real fence b/w the IS350 and my G35 sedan when making my original purchase. However, I just couldn't afford paying 40k+ for a loaded IS when I could get a comparably loaded G for few thousand less.
Overall, I am more than happy with my G. But if I had could afford it, I would definitely choose the IS350 over a G35.. probably not a G37 tho.
Congrats on the new purchase & GL w/ the new project!

yeah...it puts out similar numbers but really rips it up in the 1/4 mile posting anywhere from 13.3 -13.6
I was able to negotiate that one in the pics for 1k under NADA for a selling price of 28k.
Not too bad seein that 2007 g's were goin for the same price range!!

G35 > IS350 all the way!!!
Take a look at the May 08 issue of Modified Mag. there's a modded 06 IS that has the following list of engine mods>
LMS supercharger bracket, supercharger pipes, intercooler, true dual cat-back exhaust, ATI C2 Procharger supercharger, Meth/H2O injection, K&N air filter, Cusco oil catch can, HKS SSQ BOV, etc.
wanna take a guess how much POWERRR it makes? a WHOPPING 350whp/310wtq !!!! bwhahaha!!! xDDDD Put that money in a GTM kit and you're making at least 100 more whp with a proven bolt on kit. the ATI SC is custom installed to the IS, not because it's cheap, because there's NOTHING out there for the IS. All they have are a bunch of body and suspension upgrades, nothing for the serious enthusiast.

I love the IS. When I was buying my G I almost went for the IS, but took the G based on best bang for your buck. I got my fully loaded G for the price of a nearly option-less IS with far more miles. Overall, both cars are great choices.
P.S. Looks like your new IS is heavily modded. Lets see a vid.
