I'm looking at the 2007 G35 with nav and am confused. I see one at a dealership and it says to have navi but only shows the standard color non-touchscreen. The CNet reviews and other websites said that the navi package automatically includes the touch screen nav and rear view cam. Can anyone help me? I'm confused! THANKS!

EDIT: Looks like the site does say touch screen and rear view cam but it doesn't look like it is touch. Also, what kind of mileage do you guys normally see?

And it is the G35S if that matters.

I think for 2007 that the rear view camera is included as part of the tech package. Later years, it is included as part of the nav package. All Navi's are touch screen. Non-Navi's are all non-touch.

You can easily check for the Nav by looking for the compact card slot on the center console.

Take a look at the buttons on either side of the Controller Wheel. If there are buttons for: Status, Zoom Out, Zoom In, Dest, Route, Map, Phone, Info, and Setting - then it has the Navi.

Even though the Navi has a touch screen, you can pretty much do everything with Voice Commands and/or the Controller. I rarely have to touch the screen.

As for mileage, I am averaging around 21 MPH (both Highway and City).

21 mpg is what I assume you meant... and if that's the case, you must be the greatest driver ever.

I do mostly city driving and since i bought the car, I've put on 3100 miles and have averaged 16.5 mpg.

Rutland,

Yes I meant 21 MPG. As for my driving style, I tend to be an aggressive, spirited driver. But I also do a lot of freeway driving since I am a consultant and am always on the road. Lastly, my G has over 50K miles. When it was new I was averaging around 18 MPG.

And yes, I AM THE GREATEST DRIVER EVER! It was very kind of you to point that out - LOL!

Oh and the easiest way to tell if the car has Nav is if the screen has any maps on it.

I get about 21.6 overall. If easy highway travel only I can get 26.

I have an 08 XS. It is black so it slices through the air.

I think 20 - 21 mpg overall is what most people see, but it your actual mileage will obviously depend on what type of driving you do and what type of driver you are. I also found that when my car was new, before the engine was broken in, that I was getting about 17 - 18 mpg (70 / 30 ratio Highway / City), but now that I have about 10K miles on the car I consistently average about 20 mpg. Although, unlike some of the others here, I have never seen anywhere close to 25 - 26 mpg, even for a long highway trip. I imagine that if I drove 65 mph, instead of 85, then maybe that would make a difference.. Oh well, I'm happy to sacrifice some gas mileage to keep my lead foot.

LOL... yeah, black gets great MPG!

I was at 18 around town and 23 on the highway with very spirited M mode driving.
Behaving myself, 27.7 was the best I got with one drive to work, in D (drive) with 50/50 backroad/highway driving.

I've now gained about 2 MPG with the BullyDog premium tune installed (using 93 octane & +2 degree timing).
Way better than I expected when I bought it.
