Rear Ended, Did the shop fix correctly?
#16
Ok, we also noticed that the bumper was pretty loose at the bottom of the rear bumper where it connects to the wheel well. It had about 3" of movement. I checked out a few other G's at the dealership and they are pretty firm there, and the rear bumpers are flush. The QA guy at the collision center told me that they often receive new G's where the rear bumper is not flush and that is actually fixed under warranty (for anyone else's bumper that is not flush) they are going to correct the problem w/ the rear bumper as expected and I also got them to replace the interior door peices that are chipping on driver & passenger side by the window/lock buttons (common problems in the 07 I've learned) I appreciate all the comments and advice!

Took it back and they aligned the bumper and fixed the issue of the lower bumper near the rear wheel well. Pretty satisfied now, but concerned about diminished value of the vehicle. I know it's a long shot with State Farm, but the rep I spoke to said she has honored diminished value claims recently with evidence of said fact. I'm still pissed at the chick that was on her phone when she rear ended the car that rear ended me!
