Try to make him pay for the damage, if he didn't, then you got no choice but to do it your self.

Shame to see this happen, it was a great looking diffuser. Hopefully you will get reimbursed and return it to 100% perfect condition. I don't bother repainting/fixing the little bumper dings that others left (city parking collateral damage) because there will be more of them, but seeing them on my bumper is a consistent downer

So after two weeks of ditching college every morning to attend 3 different police stations and 2 insurance companies. I finally got a receipt from the insurance with the amount that will be given to me. You wanna know how much I got? They're paying me ***drum roll*** $115 to fix the bumper, paint it and replace the $450+ carbon fiber diffuser. So here's a big **** YOU to the insurance companies, so-called "Law system" and the guy who caused the accident (who by the way didn't have a single scratch on his car).
If anyone is gonna crash into me again, I'm gonna take my bat and beat them up senseless.

I will have a word with the manager tomorrow and tell him what his claims guy is BSing.
Anyhow, I took the car to a garage and sure enough the metal behind the bumper was slightly bent. Fixing the bumper, repainting it and fixing the metal bar came to $240. The diffuser is of course not fixable. Pretty good price IMO. If the dealer charges more than that (which I'm pretty sure they will) then that will force the insurance company to pay me the $240. If not, this is going to court.

I got rear ended not too long ago, was not my fault. It didn't look bad from the outside, the rear bumper just popped off the sides... needless to say there was over $7k damage underneath. The insurance company of the person that is at fault must return your vehicle to "pre-accident" condition or else you have the rights to a diminished value claim which you are entitled to anyway. Good Luck!
