Hey guys, I had an 07 G35x but now have an 08 G35x. I notice it drives smoother, but that may be because my 07 seemed to have some issues. Are there any differences between the two besides ipod integration?

- integrated iPod with the prem package
- they made backup camera park of the updated nav package
- they made xm standard
- tech package has precrash seatbelts
- Audio Stage with the prem package

"The Audio Stage is a system developed by Bose that allows the driver to flip a switch and center the sound around him or herself! From (Stereophile):
For ‘08, we have it worked out so that when you’re driving solo (or feeling selfish), you can flick a switch and center the image for the driver. The left speaker moves virtually to about 4′ outside the left door. Now that’s impressive".

What does it mean? I have '07 with all the packages (except Sport) and I do have backup camera with the turningn guiding lines.

Also now you only have one little mood light on the roof. You have the better quality interior trim. Won't chip llike the 07. Different (less) voice recognitions.

So far I can only remember these. There are few more little things.

The 08 has different software and that is why it is smoother. Even the ECU/TCU updates are different.

in 07, the backup camera was part of the "tech" package. in 08, the backup camera was moved to the "navigation" package. your 07 has the tech package, thus has the backup camera. an 08 without the tech package but with navigation package would have a backup camera.

btw, if the ITB about the throttle sensitivity is applied to '07 it will drive as smooth as '08.

personally I don't like this "smoothness", but couldn't live with the morning engine shudder.

Engine shudder? I have none of that.
I have what I would call, an extremely reactive throttle response.
I would never give it away either... it's perfect.

The 08/09 loaners I have driven are numb in comparison.

I hope Sprint Booster will restore the response I had before that damned ITB...

I bought my '07 with the TSB already applied & was dissapointed by the lack of response from the pedal compared to my old maxipad. Recently i've had an 08 EX loaner that was produced early enough to still have that "touchy" throttle - I LOVED driving that thing
