Not a G35 but a 2011 G25
Look at the yen/dollar exchange rate. That and new fuel economy targets are the reason for the smaller engine. Expect more cheapening in years to come -- or a lot more options made standard. Nissan has to raise prices while still giving perceived value for cars made in Japan.
but I wish they had modeled it different as so the public could distinguish the models easier. 3 series ofcourse being the ideal as anyone can tell the M3 from a 335i from a 328i just by looking at the exhaust.
As the roads become saturated with the more affordable g's, I wish mine would be able to distinguish itself from someone who decides to shave off the g25 badge and get the recognition of having the higher model.
its a moot point and in the end I will be enjoying my car's power meh
^ Being an enthusiast, i see your point about the distinguishable marks.
But we're a rare breed.
Many Jane's and Joe's don't even know which side their gas tank is, much less how many exhausts pipes they have.
