Back in June, I was at the dealer getting some warranty work done when I see this poster that had on it "coming soon... G25". I asked the dealer about but the only thing he could tell me was they are trying to play it like the 3 series with different engines. He did not know anything else about it and could not even tell me if it would be turbocharged. My guess is they are going for much better fuel economy... otherwise, why not just use a detuned VQ as is found in the Altima.

^^Amen to that, seems like a great way to de-value a brand IMO

^Nope.

I think this will sell well. I personally wouldn't get it, but if it can take some sales from the IS250, then why not?

i dont see how this is a bad thing? for me it makes Infiniti more competitive and appealing for a 1st time buyer. Think about how many sales the G25 will take away from companies like Acura(tsx),Lexus(is250) even BMW(328) and Mercedes(c300?).

I think this is a great move for Infiniti as a brand! They are expanding which is great. This also furthermore proves that Infiniti's are the best bang for buck luxury vehicle

Also how does this affect us?, we are no longer the entry level Infiniti! lol!

^185hp i believe. My mom has the QR25 motor in her 09 Altima and that car is pretty quick for a 4.

This little 6 with 230 should be PLENTY fast for most of the people buying them.

And yea, now im gonna be seen as a 'badass' because i opted for the big engine!

This is Infiniti's response to everyone always giving them crap about how their cars are copycats of BMW. Infiniti aren't cheap cars and I think this will sell good.

Btw, the photos are of the Chinese market G, some features may or may not translate over to the American market.

I think it can be successful as long as they price it correctly. If they try to price it the same as a BMW 328 I don't think it will be able to compete, but if they price it somewhere in the mid-high twenties and keep the G37 competitive with the 328 it could help Infiniti sell more cars.
