want to buy a car in Minnetonka Minnesota but from New Jersey
My last car was a toyota 4runner. I live in Texas, but I bought it from California. It was used, but only had 11,000 miles on it. I wanted specific options on it (such as a stick shift, sunroof, hood scoop, silver color). It was a rare combination, and that's why I flew to Oakland. I work for an airline, so the flight was free. I had to fly out there twice, though, to complete the deal. If you're real picky on the color and options of the car, then it's worth the flight. Otherwise, just wait for another car in your area. Keep in mind that your best negotiating tactic with a dealer is your ability to walk away. The dealer will know that you flew to Minnesota to see the car. You have to show him that you'll fly home with no car if the price isn't right.
