Did i make a mistake?

So, today just about 10 minutes ago i took my car to the car wash for the very 1st time (it might not be the last). For those who know the Torrance area i went to the one on sepulveda and Crenshaw at that 76 station. I never wanted to but considering my condition for the next 2 month (can't walk), I have no choice. Does anyone else take their car to the car wash or everyone does it by hand because they don't trust them? I know they didn't do a good job on it because i still see water spots on the door.

I always was my car my self. I also polish my car twice a year to get the swirls out and have clean swirl free paint. its really up to you how you want to treat your car. since the paint on our cars is VERY soft if would do it myself like i said before

take it to a real detailer not some car wash that it gonna damage your paint job when José uses that dirty rag he has been washing brake dust off wheels all day with and sands your paint.

Oh SH*T!!! I didn't think of that! Well, this is my 1st time too. I always to the work myself but since i fracture my ankle i can't walk or stand at the moment.

Would you guys also consider the dealer to do the wash? I do need an oil change.

Most dealers would wash the car free. You can try that.

maybe i should get my oil change in 2 more weeks then so i can get that free car wash. But i am sure the oil change will be like $60 bucks since it's at the dealers.

Chances are the dealer wash is no different from the one you went too. Most of the high volume dealers have a fully automatic wash with brushes, which leads to swirls.

Get yourself some Express Shine made by Turtle Wax. It's the best product I've found to use with a microfiber cloth for removing water spots. Even a dealer will not properly dry your car with the "free" wash.

I know, thats great stuff... Same here but, when it comes to the quick shine products, Turtle Wax has the best product (not too greasy)

Gotta love that liquid platinum color... I was at the dealership last week and saw the black paint with red flake. Didn't know they were doing that until I saw it in person and it is amazing!
