the navi in the 08 is severely outdated by google maps navigation on any smart phone so I wouldnt even bother if you have a nice phone, just get a phone stand for your dash.. if only there was a way to pair google maps to the car through your phone..
that will be the next big thing, mark my words...

I haven't read or seen much about the nav system, but interesting to hear that it is out dated.

I agree, for those options, mileage, and excellent condition, you won't be getting it for under $25k. I looked at 08 TL's and 08 G35x's for six months before I made my purchase and I never found an X with those options even close to $25k. And no worries about the in service date, mine was made in April and not driven until September so my warranty will last until September of 2012!

Hmm really? Well to be honest, the nav system is really not that important to me. It would be nice, and the touch screen and back up cam are cool, but it's not a deal breaker.

Touch screen isnt that big of a deal, I care more about the ipod connectivity I got with the premium package, so you can have a backup cam: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...a-install.html
and use a smart phone for nav that never needs to be updated and show's traffic for free. Save yourself a grand right there

I understand what you mean, but i am just saying if you paying so much you should already get it with a navi, prem, and sport. I have seen cars on autotrader loaded going for these prices. i would look around a little more but if you really like the car go for it. Miles are good but i just think when you pay so much its good to have the navi as well.

Hi everyone.. This is my first post. I have been studying and searching for a 08 g35x sedan for a few weeks now. I live in IL (Cook county), and just came across a 08 g35x sedan with the sports package. It has 23,000 miles and has the premium package(no nav). This is the cleanest g I have come across in my searches. Both the interior and exterior are almost perfect.
I have never spent this type of money on a car before and want to make sure I get a good deal, and most importantly do not get ripped off. This is where I could really use your help!
The car is listed at $26,950. The out the door cost is $29,400.
My first offer was 26,000 otd, and they came back and said they couldn't go more than 1k off, which would make the total cost 28,400. What do you guys think the max is that I should be paying for this car. I really don't want to pay more than 26500, but would be willing to pay 27,000 because the car is in great condition.
Can someone please tell me if I am over/under paying?
Thank you soo much for any help!

I purchased a 2007 G35x in May 2009 with Premium, Nav, Tech and Wood packages, with 21,300 miles for $28,300. Total OTD was 30,200. This was at Ramsey Infiniti in NJ. It was actually a really good deal since Tech packages are very rare to find (only 2 in NJ at the time.) The dealer even agreed to repaint my entire bumper because it had very small scratches (probably from a shopping cart.) When I picked the car up, it was pristine; no scratches, no scuff marks; nothing at all! I was pleased with the deal I got. The Carfax I was provided reported no accidents, and everything was good (1 previous owner who had the car on a 1 year lease.) It took me 2 months to search for this car. The other cars I've found had cigarette smoke smell and I couldn't stand it.
You're going for a 2008 G35x sedan without Nav, without Wood, without Tech for $28,400. This car is already 3 years old compared to my purchase when it was only barely 2 years old with lower miles.
I don't think it's a good deal. You can get a lot better deals for less. I think the 2008 G35x's near me are going for only $24,000 at my local dealer.
In my experience, you are definitely overpaying. The dealer is ripping you off. I suggest you wait. You can get a 2009 G37x for the same price with premium packages ($28,400 OTD now if you know how to negotiate.)

Check, the 2009 G37's are listed for $27,995. You can haggle that down a lot, because I know this dealer likes to overcharge for their used vehicles.

They're selling a 2009 G37x for $26,885. I don't know if it has the premium package, but it does have the sunroof. It only has 19.5k miles.

Was it involved in an accident? I've seen prices that low at the dealership when I was shopping, but Carfax reported major accidents on those.

I had the same experience. Hopefully you just got a really good deal, but I'd be a little suspicious.
