Sorry to be the devil's advocate.. but I really think asking for a new steering wheel is rather a big unrealistic request...

Why? I have no scratches on mine and I had it for 3 years... I would say, you should've taken better care of it from the beginning and not expect Infiniti to fix your doings..

If you never driven your car and you got scratches on it's own. Then you have every right.....

With all due respect, i think you should read more about the first model year issues, then you'll understand. Were it not for the issues we reported, you would most likely experience the same issues with your '08.

The chippy interior was addressed in 08+ models. OP probably has an 07 sedan. 07 was the year when everyone exprienced chipping, scratches, and scuffs with their interior trim parts.

Yes and yet not every dealer will replace it under warranty. Why is there a double standard? Either you replace for all 07 owners or you don't.

Sorry, the car is good but dealers/Infiniti USA sucks...they sent me a card asking for my satisfaction about my call to Infiniti USA (called about not able to get replacement door trim and steering wheels), no reply from them...then why you care to contact me???

My finish scratches off like lottery ticket wax. Infiniti of Hoffman Estates IL is taking care of mine.

my 2008 scratches too so it just wasnt the 2007 model, and they replaced mine... definitely "your mileage may vary" at each dealership

I got a '07, whole steering wheel replaced, and two door interior panels for free under warranty at Grubbs Infiniti. They rock!

Warranty should cover the steering wheel, especially the 07 models since this issue has been addressed by many owners on here and other online forums.....

There's only one dealership here in Hawaii, and thank god they actually take care of things....

Marco, they ordered the wrong part. They only ordered the switches assuming the trim came with it. Now they've ordered the replacement wheel they should have in the first place. It's on back order and I'm gone on vacation for four weeks. I suggest you write corporate as I did... Or wait until I get back and I'll scan my work order as promised.
