I had my entire steering wheel and door trim replaced by Infiniti of Bridgewater (NJ) with no questions asked. They have top notch customer service. Good luck bro!

Took my car to the dealership, Tysons Corner Infiniti in Northern Virginia and I mentioned it, and they ordered a new steering wheel and driver side door pull insert without any hassle. I've noticed some chipping on the shift **** as well, and I'll see if they will cover that also.

Wow I'm glad I saw this thread. I'm looking to sell my car, and this chippy issue has really been pissing me off. I'll be calling the dealer soon, and will report back. So far, I've had very good experiences at Infiniti of Willow Grove (PA), so my hopes are high.

I had mine replaced at Metro Infiniti in Monrovia (SoCal), it was a hit or miss for me, 1st time I went, they wouldn't replace it, second time I got the service advisor by the name of Cheryl and she got my steering wheel and both side panels and instrument cluster replaced for me. She was awesome!

So when you get your parts replaced, does it still have that same texture on there where it could be damaged again?

yes it does, so you have to be careful with the replacement. Sux that they didn't fix this problem. even the 2010's G's have the steering wheel problem, but the side window button fixtures where exchanged for the non-scrathable ones.

Unfortunate too, because I like the texture in spite of the longevity problems.

I got my door handle pulls replaced, steering wheel, all rubber door gaskets, brand new dash trim. The steering wheel texture is no longer a matter finish but seems to be a flat plastic that looks like it has a matte finish. Dealer didn't ask a single question and in 2 days replaced all the parts and got my car back with a new fresh interior which is scratch free.

Sam, which dealership in socal replaced your trims? I also have an 08. I know my chips are not as bad as some of these 07 guys.. but I still have few knicks and chips here and there. I would like to get them replaced as well. If you can point me to a specific dealership and the service advisor who was willing to replace everything, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!
