I read a lot but dont post because I really dont know anything about cars but i want to learn more (thats why I found you guys). I was able to get my door handles replaced today at coulter infiniti in mesa az and they ordered me a new steering wheel! couldnt be happier! Hopefully it comes in next wk and itll be like having a new car.

I went to the dealer to have them take care of a tire issue, and asked the to replace the steering wheel and both front door trims. He said no problem.

I think it helps if you take it in for another issue and then ask about getting the wheel replaced. My battery went bad and I took mine in on the LAST day of the warranty and got a new steering wheel and both front door trims replaced. No questions asked.

I just got my steering wheel replaced under the Elite Protection plan but the dealership will not replace my rear door pulls under the Elite Protection plan. Does that make any sense? My front door pulls were replaced under factory warranty. Attempted to get them to replace it under good will but they don't seem to want to budge. I guess I'll need to come out of pocket to replace the two rear door pulls.

I need my door handles replaced due to chipping, but was told by the dealer that my faux wood plastic overlays which will need to be removed first. I don't know if it would be easy to replace the overlays since installer used a heat gun, or if they will leave a residue, so not sure what to do.

After a few months of speaking with the dealership and letting them know I contacted Infiniti USA, they finally agreed to fix my steering wheel trim and door pulls. They didn't replace they just sanded and repainted them with a much better material. Took them about 1 1/2 hour and the end result looks brand new. I was well out of warranty and they didn't need to fix it, but I do take my car there for all work and spend a good deal of money with them. If you take your car to the dealer then fight with them and if they want to keep your business they will take care of you.

Just got a call from my dealer. Steering wheel is on National back order he said they will find out ETA next week. They ordered new pedals for me since they cannot order just one pedal so they will replace two, better for me I guess . They will also do TSB for front brakes making noise when driving backwards.

Dang. If you could, report back with the ETA on the steering wheel. I'm going to the dealer next week to see about getting mine replaced.

Items replaced by dealer

Brought in my 08 G35s in for 50k maintenance and told the service manager that the bezel on the steering wheel, both front internal door handles paint are peeling and the Steering Wheel Top cover cowl was lifted on the left side of the controls.

After 2 hours later, not only they replaced everything mentioned above, they replaced the pads and rotors (Fronts Driver/Passenger) after telling them of moderate to severe vibrations when applying brakes. I was expecting them to turn the rotors and replace the pads. Service Manager stated the vibration issue has been reported on TSB, which means FREE replacements!
