It mainly depends on if you have done anything to the car. If you are getting a tune on a stock car you are wasting your money, IMO. Also if you plan on going in and getting tuned for better gas mileage i hope your not hoping to see any gains performance wise. You will probably end up losing a little power. My oppinion is that if you want to see performance gains should wait until you do a few mods to your car (exhaust, intake, hfc or test pipes) and then get a tune.

the OP in another thread already mentioned that hes running stock and wants to gain mpg and not interested in performance gains if i remember right. When u go there make sure u reiterate the fact taht u are interested in increased mpg and not a performance oriented tune. not sure if the minimal gains will be worth the $$ though but ur call.

ya its a tune for milage, im not worried about power, its just my winter beater/everyday car. i plan on putting well over 300k miles on this car. if i gain 2 mpg id make my money back in no time, and ive talked to other people about tunes theyve got and it seem like 8-9mpg increase isnt far fethced

^ wow if the G is your winter beater.everyday car what your weekend car?? lol
btw i highly doubt that 8-9mpg gain on our cars, but 2-3mpg max is possible with loss in power imo. keep us posted

ive got a 600+whp 240sx
a 400+whp cobalt
just got rid of my 1100+whp trans am

ill get rid of the 240 and the cobalt when i get my next car, not sure if it will be a ctsv zl1 camaro or factory 5 gtm
