Metal slapping noise from driver front area when hitting sharp bumps
Hey Everyone,
The other day I noticed a metal slapping noise coming from the driver's front area of the car when I go over sharp bumps. I can recreate the problem for example if I drive over some of the lane dividers but, if the bump does not cause enough impact then you wouldn't hear the sound.
I also noticed that the left headlight seems to jiggle a bit when hitting the same type of bumps. Was wondering if you guys thought this might be related or if it's a known issue for a bolt or two to become loose on the headlight housings?
Let me know what you guys think. Car is 2008 with 45k miles on it. I plan to pop the hood later tonight and see if I can find anything glaringly obvious.
