Window problem.

I've been looking and I can't find my exact problem in the forum so here goes. This is driving me nuts.

About a year ago I came to the parking lot where my 08 g35 was parked to find all 4 windows 1/2 way down. Exactly the same for all 4 windows. From then on the problem would happen occasionally with no pattern that I could assertain. I've had the car flooded because it happened at the wrong time.

I had the dealer play with it for a while and after getting my car back in a week, everything was fine. For 3 months. Then one morning, about 3 weeks ago all four windows were down again. Since then, on 3 or 4 occasions, I gave found the front windows down about 2-3 inches. Can anyone out there please help me? Thanks in advance.

Not sure what it can be but take it back to the dealer and have them fix it.

Ummm maybe i am making this too simplistic, but I am pretty sure when you sit or accidently hit your key fob to unlock all the doors long enough the windows will roll down.

I cant quite tell if this matches your story fully, but I know the car has this feature.

That would be my guess.

Especially since your dealer cant replicate it.

^ whs, thats a feature on these cars, if you hold the unlock button for a few seconds then all 4 windows start to come down, the amount the come down depends on how ling the button is pressed for, ppl who have had this problem here has been cause the button was pressed by mistake in their pants etc

Thanks, I'm very aware of this feature and have made a point of carrying and storing my key very carefully. Also took the other key away from my wife and took the battery out of it to ensure no signals from key fob get to the car. Also this does not explain why just the front windows are now down a couple of inches and the back are staying up.

well if you try lowering the windows with the remote, you will notice that at first the front windows will go down a few inches before the rear start to roll down.

Well you could also have the fob getting a mixed up signal due to having your cell phone next to the fob.. or some other wireless device.

If its not the button on the fob then the only other explanation is that your car is possesed.... lol

BTW The dealer had no clue? Like no possible options?

I'm thinking possesed. Nah, the dealer kept the car for a week and said that they upgraded the computer firmware. Like I said, after that everything was fine for about 3 months and then the gobblins reappeared. What I find most interesting about this is that prior to the visit to the dealer, the windows were always found half way down. All 4 exactly the same. Now there is now pattern in what is happening except that the front windows seem to be more affected than the rear.

I've tried getting help directly from Infiniti. No luck.

that is very weird. how badly was your vehicle flooded due to this issue? I would keep taking it into infiniti while you are still under warranty. if this continues and they can still not resolve it, you may wanna call a lawyer that could help you with a lemon.

It wasn't to bad. I got lucky in so far as there was no wind with rain so it came straight down. This happened in the desert so the heat helped the drying process the next day. This sure didn't give me any confidence about leaving the car outdoors in the future. As a matter of fact it mostly sits in the garage now until this gets resolved and i drive something else.

I've had this happen to me as well.. luckily it wasn't raining!

Is there a way to turn off the auto-roll down feature of the key fob?
